I wanted to share with you a photo of my first commissioned doll as she looks in her new home!

Dolls have the power to heal, body, mind and spirit. I have used them for myself and in art exchanges. Each doll addresses a particular need and can hold and embody messages of healing for the recipient.
Here are some examples of dolls I have made over the past couple of years to show some of the doll making methods I have used.

| Winged Muse healing doll made as part of art exchange |
This doll includes healing messages chosen by the recipient wrapped under the cloth of her body and added to the wings. She is made out of mixed media and natural materials, including cloth, yarn, paper, paint and branches.
LIzzie, the recipient, named her Hi'iyake and explained:
Powered by the wind, so that as the wind, she might be called on to "clear the air," to find something (because wind has direction,) to bring something into one's life (as the wind brings clouds and rain,) or to change something (as the wind changes direction.)

Loretta, Kalili and the Red Knight were created as a team to participate in a journey to Ysadluftveld or Kalili's overworld. Kalili was asked to go on a healing journey from Yadwassergyl, her underworld dwelling, to heal sickness in the overworld. The princess, Loretta and the Red Knight assisted her on her journey. I have written a story about their journey which will eventually be fully illustrated.

Made in a similar manner to Hi'iyake, this "Love" doll has healing messages wrapped inside her body and wings. She was made as part of an artist exchange.

Rhea has crystals along her chakras and as a Talisman, represents healing from all obstacles, emotional and physical.
